摘要：文章主要分析科技英语中长句的结构特点及翻译技巧。在科技英语中，使用长句是一个很普遍的语言手段。因为长句表达更合乎逻辑，结构紧密。由于结构复杂，长句的结构分析因此而变得非常的重要。精确的翻译是以结构的分析和对全句的理解为基础的。然而，不同的文化也给翻译带来了一定的难度。因此长句必须按照中文表达的特点和方式进行翻译。这项研究对人们在科技学术活动上的交流有重大的意义，使人们能够进一步了解掌握科技英语的特点，掌握长句的结构，从而精确地翻译科技英语的长句。

Structural Analysis and Translation of Long Sentences in EST

Abstract: This paper mainly attempts to analyze the structural features of long sentences in EST and try to find some translation skills. In order to accurately express some complex concepts, many articles often choose long sentences to make the logical and structural compact. Long sentences which are often used in EST are the common linguistic phenomenon in EST. Because of the complex structure of long sentences, it is not easy to understand and so it is necessary to analyze its structural features. Accurate translation is based on the structural analysis and the understanding of a whole sentence.[6] However, different cultures also bring some difficulties to translation in EST. So long sentences should be translated in accordance with the Chinese characteristics and the ways of expression. The research is of great significance for people to communicate in scientific and technological activities and of great help for people to translate long sentences in EST.
