从关联理论看科技英语的翻译(8100字)

摘  要：中国是世界上最大的发展中国家，它的发展离不开世界，尤其在科学技术方面。众所周知，世界上大多数科学文献是用英文写成的，所以科技英语翻译对我国向外国的学习借鉴中起到了极其重要的作用。而科技语言相对于文学等其他语言形式有自己的要求，而这些要求在翻译过程中又可以通过关联理论来达到。
本文以关联理论为依据，致力于研究关联理论在科技英语翻译中的应用。文章首先阐述了近年来关于翻译和关联理论的研究，其次介绍了科技英语的定义和科技英语特点，然后介绍了关联理论的理论知识和关联理论在广义翻译中的应用，最后以一个独立的部分来阐明基于关联理论的科技英语翻译。

Translation of EST from the Perspective of Relevance Theory

Abstract: As the largest developing country in the world, the development of China can not be isolated from the rest of the world，especially those developed countries that can provide scientific and technical models for China. And as is known, most of the scientific literature is written in English, so the translation of English for Science and Technology(EST for short) becomes very important for learning advanced science and technology from other countries. Yet compared with the language of literature and other forms of texts, scientific and technical text has its unique requirements which could be achieved through relevance theory.
This thesis employs relevance theory as theoretical foundation and mainly focuses on relevance-theoretic translation of EST. Firstly, it gives a brief introduction of translation and the relevance-based researches in these years; and then it expresses the definition and characteristics of EST. After that, it presents information about relevance theory and the application of relevance theory in general translation. At last, it discusses the relevance-theoretic translation of EST in an independent part.
